Unique stay in nature
Surrounded by the tranquility and beauty of nature, our unique vacation home, "The Hexagon," offers a double hexagonal space.
This charming little house provides a warm and cozy atmosphere for a delightful stay. Enjoy comfort in every season—whether it's a peaceful evening by the wood stove in winter or relaxing in the shade of surrounding trees during summer.
The house is handcrafted from natural materials and equipped with modern amenities, offering the perfect opportunity to experience the distinctive charm of a straw and clay-built home.
Comfort & peace
Practical and comfortable
The Hexagon is accessible for people with limited mobility, featuring a spacious shower and toilet area. It offers all the comforts of home, including a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer compartment, gas stove, kettle, and all the essentials for cooking and dining for up to 5 people. The living and sleeping areas can be separated by a curtain. The sleeping area contains three single beds and one double bed. Internet is available via a cable.
The house has a balcony on the sunny side (with a wheelchair-accessible driveway). Surrounding the house is a garden and terrace with both sun and shade, providing a private outdoor space. The living area has a wood stove, while the sleeping area is heated.
Ideal for creative peace
The Hexagon is an ideal place to work on a project or book for an extended stay. You live in the heart of nature in a beautiful setting, yet with company nearby if desired. For example, you can sign up for meals shared with other guests in our communal dining room.

Additionally, there is an internet access point in the parking area with a login code for those who need to use their phone, laptop, or tablet intentionally at certain times.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us!
Biodegradable products: To protect our natural water treatment system, we kindly ask that you use only biodegradable personal care products (such as toothpaste, shampoo, dish soap, and sunscreen).
Smoke-free grounds:All our grounds (Thietry, Forge Neuve, and the goat farm) are smoke-free, including e-cigarettes. Smoking is only permitted outside the grounds.
Children’s festival: One week in August, our grounds host the Children’s Festival ("het Eigentijds Kinderfestival"). During this week, there will be a lively, festive atmosphere, which means the usual peace and quiet may be less prominent. For exact dates, please check the Children’s Festival website.
Dogs: Calm dogs are welcome at Ecolonie. However, we kindly ask you to respect a few rules: dogs must always be kept on a leash on the premises and walked outside the grounds. During mealtimes, dogs are not allowed in the dining room. Are you staying in a guest room? Then you will need to bring your own mat or crate for your dog.
