Welcome to De Linde, our charming holiday home located on the serene grounds of La Forge Neuve. Nestled in the picturesque valley of the Ourche River, this peaceful and secluded retreat offers the perfect setting for relaxation and immersion in nature.
Situated just 2.5 km from the main site at Thietry, De Linde serves as an ideal base to explore the surrounding area. Enjoy forest walks, a refreshing swim in the lake just across from the gîte, and the tranquil atmosphere that makes La Forge Neuve so special.

Availability and reservations
Comfortable and practical accommodation
Our charming gîte comfortably accommodates up to three people, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway. On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and a bedroom with a box spring bed that can be arranged as either a double bed or two single beds, depending on your preference. The bathroom features a bathtub with a shower, a sink, and a separate toilet.
Upstairs, the loft area serves as a bright and cozy living room, thanks to three skylights that fill the space with natural light. There’s also a comfortable sofa bed, suitable for an additional guest. If you'd like to use the sofa bed, please let us know when making your reservation.
Outside, there’s a private terrace beside the gîte, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. Both the main entrance and the bedroom open directly onto the terrace. For comfort throughout the year, the gîte is equipped with central heating.
Warmth and scenic views
Gîte Linde offers a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, featuring a unique loft that adds character to the space. It’s an ideal place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. From the terrace, you can take a short walk up the slope behind the gîte. A small path leads to a plateau with a bench, where you can pause to take in the beautiful view of the valley.
Whether you want to read a book, explore the natural surroundings, or simply enjoy the calm, Gîte Linde provides a great setting for a refreshing break. For families or groups, the nearby Gîte Cipres can be rented together with Gîte Linde, offering plenty of space for a memorable stay.

Radiation-free stay: For the well-being of our community and our radiation-sensitive residents, participants, and guests, we ask everyone (residents, participants, and visitors) to switch all mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smartwatches, and other electronic devices to airplane mode or turn them off while on any of our grounds (Thietry, the goat farm, Forge Neuve, the teahouse, and the swimming lake).
In the guest rooms, rental accommodations, and the general information/library area, wired internet (Ethernet) is available for guests to use. Additionally, there is an internet access point in the parking area with a login code for those who need to use their phone, laptop, or tablet intentionally at certain times.

Biodegradable products: To protect our natural water treatment system, we kindly ask that you use only biodegradable personal care products (such as toothpaste, shampoo, dish soap, and sunscreen).
Smoke-free grounds:All our grounds (Thietry, Forge Neuve, and the goat farm) are smoke-free, including e-cigarettes. Smoking is only permitted outside the grounds.
Children’s festival: One week in August, our grounds host the Children’s Festival ("het Eigentijds Kinderfestival"). During this week, there will be a lively, festive atmosphere, which means the usual peace and quiet may be less prominent. For exact dates, please check the Children’s Festival website.
Dogs: Calm dogs are welcome at Ecolonie. However, we kindly ask you to respect a few rules: dogs must always be kept on a leash on the premises and walked outside the grounds. During mealtimes, dogs are not allowed in the dining room. Are you staying in a guest room? Then you will need to bring your own mat or crate for your dog.

More information
Use of other facilities at ECOlonie
When renting a gîte you may make use of all our facilities just as our camping and guesthouse guests. For instance: our shop, the art studio, participation in workshops or guided walks. You may also join in for meals (please book before 11 a.m.), served at the main area ‘Thietry’.
Availability
Upon arrival the gîte is available from 4.00 p.m. On departure we ask you to leave the gîte no later than 10.30 a.m.
Rental periods
The gîte is for hire for a full week or multiples thereof, running from Saturday to Saturday. Weekend or midweek rentals could be agreed upon.

Delicious organic meals
We offer delicious vegetarian organic meals every day. We cook with as many fresh vegetables from our own garden as possible. Good to know: in some cases, we can accommodate dietary preferences.
If you don't book full board, you still have the option to sign up for the (other) meals. You can do this on-site, daily before 10:30 AM.
