Ecolonie is a Dutch living community in France, whose existence is thanks to the many people of all ages from around the world who have contributed for shorter or longer periods. The main language at ECOlonie is Dutch, but English is also spoken, so everyone can feel welcome and at ease. Over the course of a year, approximately 160 different people participate in our various projects.
At Ecolonie, you participate as a resident, permanent or temporary participant (= volunteer for a longer or shorter period), or as an intern. In other words, you are part of our living and working community (ecovillage). Your contribution is highly valued! We offer various ways to get involved.
As in many other sectors, we notice that the number of requests for help is lower than in previous years, while bookings for camping and accommodation are high. Especially for the high season, we are therefore urgently looking for participants willing to contribute to our inspiring community. In July and August, as a temporary participant, you will work 36 hours instead of 40 per week and receive a contribution toward your travel expenses. Click here for more information.
